Now Ray Gibson our Planning and Zoning Director is resigning, before that our county manager, also the fire chief has resigned. Coincidence? it would make anyone suspicious. It is true that Mr. Gibson has the experience Stockbridge needs. With a new Mayor for their city I think there are brighter days ahead for Stockbridge. It is my hope that very soon the citizens of Henry County will feel they can expect brighter days, once they get involved and get some big changes accomplished in their county.
I would like to mention that the Henry Herald stated in their article about the Lambert property and the way the BOC voted on it,that there was not to be a Clorox warehouse on that development. It will be interesting to see if not then, what will be warehoused there?

The exodus from the jobs at the county began with the County Lawyer
who was Mr. Jaugstetter, then the head of Code Enforcement who was Mr. Tomlinson left. Then our County Manager Mr. Magnaghi left his position. Also, the SPLOST coordinator Mr. Clack left. Then assistant county manager Michael Sabine left. Now it is Mr. Gibson to take the job of assistant city manager of Stockbridge. Stockbridge will be getting an excellent person for the job. Maybe with all these people leaving top jobs is the reason why the BoC has those long executive sessions. A lot of people here in Henry County are wondering why. They are also questioning why a direct person who helped the Chairman get elected is being placed in key jobs here in the county. It is evident that there is a problem. Many of these people cannot work with our new Chairman. There is even talk that some of the other commissioners are having problems with her. This was predicted months before it began occurring. It has nothing to do with the bad economy but it has all to do with the person in charge. Many people at the administration building don't like having to work around her. There is some ugly talk out there about this woman. But it can be expected because this has been the rule of the day for years now. For example her camera man on her show on Channel 22 is also the father of a key person who has something to do with Nash Farm. A lot of these people may be leaving due to the fact that so much money is being funneled into that park and there is little to show for it. But as the exodus from county positions continues it makes one as this question who is next?
The Lamberts may say that the warehouses are not for Clorox, but why was Clorox in the mix during all the talks. They cannot build a building that large and expect to hide the smell of how it got there. They brought this upon themselves.
The exodus of County personal will continue until the reason is gone and that is Chairman Mathis. The County employees saw how Mathis bullied her way into office by suing us the taxpayers to gain her seat of power. They knew then that they were in for a hard time. The employees might have thought that with the way she took office that the citizens might get her recalled and they (The Employees) could hang on until then. But it has been a year and she is still in office and the employees are starting to get tired of being Mathis’s puppets to make her look good. I have studied this for a year and I think I have a good profile of what is wrong. When a person needs power so as to promote them selves tells me that she was oppressed as a child and did not get the attention she wanted so she felt left out. That is one reason she has stopped at nothing to gain power and make her look good at our expense. With this type of person the only way to change her way of thinking is intensive psychological therapy to get her to see her problem and make the change. Any way you see it B.J. Mathis is unfit to hold office of any kind and we the public need to see this and get her out of office for the sake of our County and our kids.
